Daryl’s interest in racing started when his father took him to every one (1970
– 1980) of the California 500 races at Ontario Motor Speedway. Because there
wasn’t available money for him to start racing he didn’t start in karting until
his mid-30’s. During a 10+ year period Daryl participated in the Jim Hall
Karting program, Skip Barber Racing, Jim Russell Racing and Autopian at Las
Vegas Motor Speedway’s road course.
After a 10+ year hiatus from racing, Daryl purchased a USF2000 and is excited
about racing in as many vintage races as possible. He is grateful to have
connected with Vince Tjelmeland and Bob Morris at Sabina racing.
